Jim Toler Biography
James E Toler Jr., a 29-year U.S.Army veteran, Singer songwriter, photographer. While in the military he earned, a B.S. degree from Wayland Baptist University TX. He is a former VIP jet transport and rescue helicopter pilot, combat medic EMT II, master rigger and jumpmaster. During his military tenure his combat tours include Somalia, Bosnia and Afghanistan.Since retirement he has focused on creative endeavors, James was invited to Abbey Roads Studio London where his current music release was mastered. He was Born in Port Hueneme California and raised in the small town of El Rio in Ventura County CA. He attended El Rio Elementary, Rio Del Valle middle school, and graduated from Rio Mesa high school. He also attended the Caribbean School in Ponce Puerto Rico for two years as his father working overseas. From the age of 13 James spent a month of each summer in the Philippine Islands. This is where he found a deep desire to help those less fortunate. James was the son of a welder and commercial fishing boat builder and he learned the trade of shipwright and pipefitter, he was certified at the age of 16 as a welder. Shortly after he built a 58-foot steel hull vessel as a solo project. Currently James has a studio/office in Portland Oregon.
